Taking the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.

It never ceases to amaze me when individuals get the results of a personality profile. You hear comments like, “How do they know these things?”, “Are there really other people that act and think like me?”, “Don’t let my partner read this, they will agree with everything written here”, “That explains why I’m struggling in a management role?” , “I would love to get my whole team to complete their profile, I’m sure it would help us understand our communication problems”.

Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers designed the MBTI which indicates 16 psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. This information is helpful across your career and your relationships. You maybe someone who has attracted opposite personality types in your personal relationships or work scene. Wondering why you appear to talk passed each other and have communication issues, time management and decision making challenges. An example of one of the Type Indicators, the extrovert (the outgoing chatty one who loves social events and being around people, and gets their energy from external sources). To the introvert (reserved, get’s their energy from within self. Likes to keep to themselves and detests going to functions particularly if they don’t know the people, because of all the small talk required). Perhaps you can relate to this.

My Approach
If you choose to find out more about ‘what makes you tick’ I will arrange an on-line questionnaire/s (because there are more than one) for you to complete. Providing you with comprehensive reports, which we will walk through together, for you to get a full understanding. This will open up and develop yourself awareness. Identify your preferences and coaching you with techniques, tools and strategies to overcome the area that challenges you.

You get to complete self-work to celebrate your strength areas and know how to use these to your advantage and help others to engage more fully with you. Improve the communication messages for clarity and understanding – to get what you need from others and them from you. One of the most important discoveries will be how to work in-between all the main preferences. Overall enhancing your job performance, how to use time and flexibility to bring out creativity, and interpersonal relationships, for those people that matter.

This personality profiling can be done as an individual or in groups.

I am an architect for Lominger Competencies (another management tool). The 67 core competencies cover abilities and skills that assist with measuring a person’s effectiveness in business. Useful for management when conducting recruitment interviewing, appraising performance to developing succession plans.
